Outreach

QED Network
I am a cofounder of the Queer, Equality and Diversity Network for Maths. We are a community of UK based mathematicians who aim to build a community for LGBTQIA+ mathematicians, increase visibility of underrepresented groups in mathematics, and to advocate for inclusive practices within the mathematics community.
Diversifying & Decolonising the Curriculum
From 2022-2025 I was part of a group at QMUL researching mathematicians of diverse backgrounds to incorporate into our undergraduate courses and beyond. We have written almost 60 biographies to date, have conducted interviews with over a dozen mathematicians, and have written reports on various topics to do with the history of mathematics to create resources for students to learn and be inspired by mathematicians relevant to the subject.
Check out our recent feature in the London Mathematical Society Newsletter which links to our resources.

Piscopia
I was a cofounder of the QMUL Piscopia Committee and local organiser of the 2025 PiFORUM conference. Pisocpia is a initiative which began in Scotland, encouraging women and underrepresented genders to pursue a PhD in Mathematics and creating a support network for students and researchers in Mathematics and related disciplines.
Curriculum Ambassador
From 2023-2025 I was a curriculum ambassador for mathematics at QMUL. In this role I was part of the Student Recruitment and Widening Participation team, representing QMUL locally, regionally and nationally within schools and colleges in the UK. I delivered academic content and provided information, advice and guidance about higher education.

See here for an example of my outreach involved with this.

Tutorial-a-thon
I participated in the Fall 2021 and Spring 2025 editions of AATRN & WinCompTop's Tutorial-a-thon. This is a project aimed at spreading awareness of the field of topological data analysis with short, introductory videos.

My video on the stability of persistent homology can be found here and my video on cellular sheaves can be found here.

PhD Your Way
PhD Your Way is an annual, online event aimed at people from underrepresented groups in maths to explain what exactly a PhD is and the basics of how to apply.
From 2022-2024 was a panellist member for the event, and in 2024 I also helped organise the event.
Social Media Takeover
For International Women's Day in 2023 I did a takeover of QMUL Mathematics' social media to highlight some of the women in the department.

I made a video from the takeover which you can find here.

Robogals Canberra
Robogals is a worldwide volunteer organisation with the goal of improving gender equity in STEM subjects. Each chapter runs free engineering and technology workshops for their local community.

In 2018-2019, while at ANU, I was a lead volunteer with Robogals Canberra and helped run workshops on robotics for girls aged 10-16.
