Knitting and Crochet Projects
Over the past few years I have gotten into knitting and crocheting. I'm not very good, but I particularly like making maths-related projects, so I will share some of these here.
(Pictured: my mum and I knitting together while my aunt and my grandfather do their own thing, circa June 2023)
I made most of these crocheted projects while attending conference talks. The sphere (which is stuffed) and the torus (which is not stuffed) were made without following a pattern and were throwaway projects to help me learn crochet.

The Klein bottles are super fun though and surprisingly easy to make. You can find the pattern here.
This knitted project started out life as an attempted shawl. I'm pretty sure I misread the instructions at some point because it became very hyperbolic, with several thousand stitches per row.

I really like it though because the hyperbolic surface can imitate coral, a flamenco dress, a Victorian neck collar and many other things.
